CROP Program goes live October

02 Sep 2014

Q. Would you like to help people in rural NSW who need ongoing counselling when times are tough?

Q. Do you need to increase your counselling hours?

Q. Are you willing to commit 1-3 hours per week / fortnight to provide counselling (pro bono) by phone or skype to individuals and families in rural NSW?

Our Regional and Rural Committee has been busy networking with organisations including BeyondBlue, Country Women’s Association and NSW Farmer’s Association to tackle the lack of mental health services in rural communities.

Our CAPA Rural Outreach Program (CROP) is scheduled to go live by the end of October. CROP counsellors will provide their services free of charge. Hours accumulated through the delivery of ongoing (i.e. not single session) CROP counselling services will be valid for use with CAPA NSW renewal and regrade applications.

Thanks to the counsellors and psychotherapists who have already joined CROP – we will be sending you the Program guidelines and client intake forms in the next few weeks.
